Bought recently at auction and for immediate sale in the West End catacomb of my website marked by the simple words 'Just in Sir!' a Black Japanned Circular Combined Fly Box and Cast Tin originally sold within earshot of the bells of St. James in Piccadilly by Bernard & Son at the end of the century before last and an early alloy Trout Reel from Carter of South Molton Street.

Captain Kettle meets the Spitalfields Irregulars Uptown
A day most convivial on the stall yesterday as dogs barked and tea was drunk fervently in remembrance of friends lost and in honour of all our favourite saints. A day marked by the appearance early in the morning on a neighbouring stall of Captain Kettle 'the most Popular and most Talked about Hero of present day Stories of Adventure'.

A Brave New Old World
Once upon a time in Arcadia namely Between-the-Wars and in the Post-War Period brave new worlds were constructed entirely from plastic.
