The National Vintage Fishing Tackle Fair - Sunday 13th November
Across all postal districts of Arcadia street corner urchins cheer, trumpets sound and dogs bark for Fallon's Angler and Caught by the River who have both included the handbill for the forthcoming National Vintage Fishing Tackle Fair in their newsletters of this week. You may subscribe to both on their respective home pages. An extra glass of Victory Gin is raised to Caught by the River who have today included a small piece on the Fair on their pages.

Return Via Kempton to the Lost Fishing Tackle Factory in 1934
Found at Kempton yesterday morning in the half light of the year 2016, a Kelly's Directory for London for the year 1934. Amongst the 3786 pages a list of Fishing Tackle Makers, Fishing Rod Makers, Dlr's (Dealers) and Stores - Departmental and significantly the name Hessin T. & Co. Ashleigh Works, Redditch, whose abandoned factory I had the privilege to walk round five years ago.

In the Shop Window and Elsewhere-in-Arcadia
Bought recently from a seaside town of many chimney pots and for immediate sale 'In the Shop Window' of my stall-on-a-virtual-b-road www.andrewsofarcadia.com, a rare and possibly unique Hook Salesman's Wallet from W. Woodfield & Sons of Redditch dating from the late Victorian Era. Along with a number of old London fishing tackle shop catalogues in the cardboard-box-under-the-counter-Madam, you-only-need-ask and some close ups of two reels bought from a gentleman in the vaults of town earlier this week and which are for immediate sale at 'Just in, Sir'.
