Letter From Arcadia

For several years I have been corresponding with an exile of the Parish of Hawkhurst in Kent, Dexter Petley, who now resides on the other side of Hell's Ditch in the east of Normandy in France.   We write about our contrasting angling experiences.  This correspondence was inspired by the book 'Drop Me a Line' first published in the early fifties, being the letters between the two anglers Maurice Ingham and Richard Walker.  Whereas their letters were concerned primarily with 'when will we next fish and how' ours were concerned with 'when will we next fish and why'.  Letters From Arcadia are published by Caught by the River and the latest instalment along with their archive of letters can be read on their website this morning: www.caughtbytheriver.net
