A Dog's Day Out

Back from the region of Arcadia known as the West with a van full of Vintage Fishing Tackle for the Soul and several boxes of meat.  Time for a pot of tea and then it is into our finest waxed cotton trousers and off to the Mixed Ovals Room at the St. Pancras Railway Hotel for one of the social events of the year - The Fido's - known locally as The Palm D'og, an awards ceremony celebrating the roles dogs have played in film over the last year.  It is always an occasion that is a riot of Dog Biscuit Tasting and Pale Ale.  Click on the word 'Spratts'  to see a short film featuring the winner from the year 1952.
