Once upon a time in Arcadia, and especially on the day of the week known as a Thursday it was possible to drive your motor car into the City of London and its environs and not worry about where to park. Next to the stall within the market, on the pavement, double parked on a quiet B-road, or tucked in down a sidestreet, all such spaces were used when I first began dealing at the market over 8 years ago.
However, things have changed since then and if you are thinking of bringing your motor car into London to visit me at Spitalfields Antiques Market on a Thursday with a view to filling the boot up with Vintage Fishing Tackle for the Soul please note that you will need to avail yourself of one of a number of car parks in and around the Commericial Street area where, if you arrive early or late enough you should be able to secure a space.
