Proudlove's

Once upon a time in Arcadia, the discerning angler was able to shop for High Class Fishing Tackle for All Kinds of Angling less than 'Half a minute from Liverpool St. Station' at the establishment known to everyone as Proudlove's.  For all those who wish to shop for High Class Fishing Tackle for All Kinds of Angling today you may still do so and almost 'Half a minute from Liverpool St. Station' at my stall in Spitalfields Antiques Market which is open from 07.30hrs this morning until the strict hour of 15.00 as it is every Thursday.

Best Flies 1927

A selection of 'Best Flies' dating to the year of Arcadia 1927 and found in a wallet early one recent Saturday morning.  Tied to Jagnose purchased from Jas. Gorse Ltd, who traded from 379 Euston Road in the district of London known as NW1.  It would appear that these flies have never been fished.

Fishing in the company of Major Oliver Kite

For all those venturing out onto the banks of a river in search of new season's trout a book found on a cold January day in Arcadia, a 1st Edition copy of C.F Walker's 'The Complete Fly-Fisher'.  However, the book was not signed by its author but by another of equally great fame Major Oliver Kite.  The story of the signature can be read in this month's Classic Angling magazine and also in my archive which can be found at http://www.andrewsofarcadia.com/home.php?id=11&nid=11.
