It's a Country Life

Across Arcadia bobble hats are being raised to the good folk of Country Life Magazine who very kindly wrote a whole quarter of a page in previewing the forthcoming National Vintage Fishing Tackle Fair in their issue dated November 9th.  For all those who take Country Life you can read more by turning to the page known as 36.

Northern Anglers' Depot

Once Upon a Time in Arcadia, and most notably on a Thursday, in the region known as the North, ladies and gentlemen of the angle would have hastened to J. E. Miller at his premises known as the Northern Anglers' Depot where they would purchase items of Vintage Fishing Tackle for the Soul.

Once Upon a Time in Arcadia also, most notably today and on other Thursdays, in the district known as London E1, ladies and gentlemen of the angle are recommended to hasten to my stall in Spitalfields Antiques Market where I sell items from my own Depot.

Londoners

18 months ago I found myself drinking a few halves for lunch in The Southampton Public House with the author Craig Taylor.  He was interviewing me about angling in London for a project he was working on - a book about London comprising of interviews with a number of Londoners.  I am delighted to say that Londoners - (The Days and Nights of London Now - As Told by Those Who Love It, Hate It, Live It, Left It and Long for It' has just been published by Granta.
