F.T. Williams Gold Medal Gut

Found in a gentleman's box of fishing tackle at Kempton on Tuesday last a quantity of original printed envelopes dating to the late 19th Century and containing Very Superior Gut Lines from F.T. Williams & Co, - Fishing Rod & Tackle Manufacturers - whose premises were at 10 Great Queen Street in the district of London known to all as Lincoln's Inn Fields.  So superior was Williams Gut, 'carefully tapered and tested', that it was awarded the Prize Medal at the 1887 Maritime and Piscatorial Exhibition held at the Royal Aquarium.
